What is interlocking toes?

Interlocking toes, also known as Clinodactyly, is a medical condition in which one or more of the toes are bent and overlap each other. It can occur either due to a congenital abnormality (present at birth) or can develop over time due to various factors such as improper footwear, trauma, or medical conditions like arthritis or cerebral palsy. While interlocking toes may not cause any discomfort or pain in some people, others may experience difficulty in walking or wearing closed-toe shoes. Treatment options for interlocking toes include orthotics or insoles to help correct the position of the toes, physical therapy, and surgery in severe cases.
